The smallest 3 star hotel in Amsterdam. It is owned and operated by Norman Heemskerk and has been in the family for over 30 years. With the completion of new room renovations it is likely that this hotel will be your favorite. Set up like a bed & breakfast, you will truly feel like this is your second home.
Norman and his staff are very friendly and eager to make your stay the best experience of your life. There are 9 rooms in total each decorated with a different theme from traditional to art Deco. You will not be disappointed with this hotel.
Each room comes with a breakfast including coffee or tea, orange juice, bread, cheese, cereal, egg, fruit and sliced meat. Every room has a television with teletext, phone, shower or Jacuzzi, and toilet.
There are even rooms with water beds that are 99% stable. This means that you will not be riding the waves while you sleep but rather have the feeling of sleeping on air. That is the reason physicians recommend water beds. This bed conforms to the shape of your body allowing everything to be supported.
The breakfast room has a beautiful glass enclosed porch which provides you with plenty of sun shine, when the sun is shining. This hotel is truly a treasure and is a bargain to boot.
Hotel Heemskerk is located behind the concert hall. It is easily accessible to everything via tram or cab. From Central Station you can take the 5, or 16, to Museumplein which lets you off in front of the Concert Hall. From there, if you are facing the Concert Hall go to your left around the back of the Concert hall and you will run into it.
The front door is automatic for the convenience of their guests. You should not attempt to open or close it by hand as this may damage the motor. Once at the hotel ring the bell and when you enter you will find the office on the left at the end of the beautiful stair case. Save with this page
